Dr Prabhath Bhaskaran

PhD (Comparative study of Noh & Koodiyattam ) University of Hyderabad | B.T.A School of Drama, Thrissur

Prabhath has been trained in Yoga, Kalaripayattu , Tai-chi (China), Kathalai (Kerala), Kuttiyattam (Kerala), Thevarattem Silambam (Tamil Nadu), Mime (France), contemporary dance from India as well as Noh & Butoh (Tokyo). He has designed and acted in over 75 plays. He has collaborated with theatre greats like Kan-Ze Hideo, Yoshito Ohno, Richard Emmert, Khalid Jolla , Abhilash Pillai, Anuradha Kapoor, Betty Bernard & Raghunandana. In 1999, he founded the Bharatha theatre group in Kerala, which develops performances over long periods of meticulous study and experiment. He is currently the Head of the Department, Pondicherry University, Mahe Department, Mahe.
