| | After a small hiatus in October, the DSM monthly newsletter is back for November and December. The Drama School Mumbai looks to wrap up the year by reiterating our commitment to bringing the best performance-practices to you. November is all about rhythm and movement as we host Rajeev Kalamandalam for a masterclass and lecture-demo in Kudiyattam Drumming. There is also a performance to look forward to and some pre-Christmas announcements. Also, November has had us witness momentous changes in the world around us. It is becoming clear from these changes that there are many who do not understand one another. Now is a good time to remember that theatre and the dramatic arts has always been a space where where we can understand one another better, connect with each others stories, recognise ourselves in the other and the other in ourselves, and together, begin to reflect on why our society is the way it is. Through theatre and culture, we can learn to not be driven by decisions that are motivated by the rhetoric of fear, and learn to be more proactive about becoming the change we seek to see in the world. | |
